I Knew You Were Trouble is a promotional single from Taylor Swift’s upcoming fourth studio album, “Red”. It is part of the four tracks to be released during the four weeks preceding the release of the album, due for release October 22, 2012.

Swift said the song is about “being frustrated with yourself because here you are heartbroken and you knew when you first saw that person, you saw all these red flags and you just went for it anyway, so shame on me.”
